Girls Day Out hit
Hahndorf
According to the girls, they had very lucky weather, for the most part. Kate and Tess both opted for the neat casual look on this windy, yet sunny afternoon in beautiful old Hahndorf. With both fashionistas going for the comfy jeans, nice top, nice shoes and neat warm jacket or cardi option, there shouldn't be much confusion about the term neat casual in the future. ;)
"In general when you go to Hahndorf, you only really want to dress up when you go there at night to one of the restaurants, or for a fancy lunch"
Was the opinion of a very wise and honest Tess Treloar.

The popular tourist eating complex, The Old Mill, was where the girls enjoyed a buffet from the upper end of the price range at $23. There were mixed reviews from the girls but one thing was for certain, the mills name has certainly been getting around and noticed, or so we think judging by the crowds of tourists surrounding the tabes.
Tess: The food was pretty good, but I was disappointed because they ran out of watermelon. I got lost trying to find the entrance, and the whole place was filled with old people too and I probably should have found it awkward that we were the youngest there, but I actually just found it really funny.
Kate: The place where we ate was really crowded but good. The food was good but there was also some not so good food!
Even with both girls enjoying their busy day out, there was still more to see, some of the must sees the girls said they unfortunately missed out on were the playgrounds at the schools, the cafe with the fairy garden at the back, the ice cream shop and visiting more cafes.
With the day summed up as a huge success, both girls reccommend visiting Hahndorf properly at least once, why not make the best of your local surroundings? So next time you're planning a family wekend, don't forget to give Hahndorf a second thought. :)
