In the same letter, the authors propose to mark
the 50 th anniversary of the Genocide through a
number of events, including an exhibition on the
topic of the “Reborn Armenian people as part
of the fraternal family of Soviet nations.” Along
with the proposal to organize scientific sessions,
the 8 th point of the letter proposes “to use the
people’s resources to construct a memorial to
the Armenians who died in the First World War.
It must symbolize the rebirth of the Armenian
people.”
