All qualified coaches can apply to be included
on the register.
Members of the Coaching Register are insured
and licensed by BADMINTON England to
carry out coaching activities within the
parameters of the award they have gained
and adhere to the Code of Ethics and Code
of Conduct for Coaches.

Coaches must:
• have a valid DBS or enhanced disclosure
issued through BADMINTON England.
• adhere to the BADMINTON England Code
of Ethics and Code of Conduct for Coaches
• be a member of BADMINTON England
One year
• Civil liability insurance up to £10million while
coaching in the UK (this policy covers both
public liability and professional indemnity
insurance) – not included in overseas
membership
• Legal expenses insurance cover – not
included in overseas membership
• Full membership of BADMINTON England
• Access to ‘Coach Zone’ – a secure area on
the BADMINTON England website where
coaches can download coaching resources
and participate in forums
• The Badminton members’ magazine four
times a year
• Membership card (photo card plus annual
renewal card)
• Access to coach development sessions
• Discount on tickets to BADMINTON
