I started this Campaign/Group February 2014 a month after the passing of my cousin Jamilia Duffy. I have always had a passion for helping others and bringing about positive change. When she passed away from her long battle of Crohn's I realized it was time to start on my purpose. I wanted to find a way to bring awareness to people who fight for LIFE daily as well as bring positive change to the entire world. The name "Love Is You" all started when I was about 17. I would sketch dresses and sign it with a purple heart connecting to the words "Is You" to mark my art work. I was inspired by the word of God. In John 4:16 it's saying God is love and if you have God you have love.. So therefore love is you! The color Purple represents courage of a soldier. We all are soldiers on the battlefield. One mission at a time I knew I could bring a change, even if it's just to one person. By collecting monetary contributions I can have events to bring awareness and support where needed. Events like "Walkathons" for illnesses and disease "Mission Trips" to help hunger "Youth Talks" to encourage our younger generation and etc. I would donate a percentage of the collections to Foundations that are working to find a cure for different illnesses and also to those who are in need to bring awareness like me. It's not about me, it's about others!! Each month I will be "On A Mission" working on my purse until it is fulfilled here on this side. It's not an official licensed business but I plan on being one. My dream is to have my own clothing line that will spread my purpose internationally. I have a couple shirts out now with my original logo sketch. This is ONLY the beginning.
