Greetings Sorors ,
It is with extreme excitement and joy that I bring warm greetings to each of you assembled here on Easter weekend at this 89 th Central Regional Conference ! Welcome to Milwaukee Wisconsin , my home for over thirty-four years . It is a pleasure to serve as your Honorary Conference Chairman .
Congratulations to Soror Kiahna W . Davis our visionary Central Regional Director , who is convening her first conference as our esteemed Central Regional Director . There is no doubt this will be an historic conference here in Cluster II , as this group prepares to host one of Central Region ’ s largest gathering of Alpha Kappa Alpha women from across our eight-state area . In addition to being a city rich in African American culture , Milwaukee has been and remains home to many current , emerging and past sorority leaders , including your Twenty-Ninth Supreme Basileus .
This conference weekend is a time of reflection and celebration . Sincere appreciation to Soror Berthena Brister , General Conference Chairman , Soror Khyana Pumphrey Conference Co-Chairman and the Cluster II Planning team , for their hard work on this record-breaking conference . Congratulations to all regional award winners for your programming efforts . Special commendations to all Sorors celebrating Diamond , Pearl , Golden and Silver membership milestones . The work and traditions of our enduring sisterhood continue to reign supreme throughout Central Region .
Sorors please enjoy this 89 th Central Regional Conference . Plan to attend all plenary sessions and workshops , reunite with old friends , meet new sorors , participate in new commemoration , celebrate achievements and just bask in the glow of being a confident and captivating soror of this special region , home to so many of our sisterhood ’ s most accomplished and distinguished members .
