The greeting at Regional Conference : “ To Madam Regional Director , Soror Sonya L . Bowen , to Madam Supreme Basileus , Soror Glenda Glover ( if she is present ), Members of the Directorate ; to our Former Supreme Basilei , to our Former Regional Directors , and all who serve Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority , Incorporated …. Good Morning .”
• The greeting , or other appropriate wording , is stated only by the First speaker of the event . All others who follow need only acknowledge the leader – our Regional Director and the Supreme Basileus if present . “ To Madam Regional Director ( Madam Supreme Basileus ) - Good Morning ”
• There is no greeting before offering a prayer , meditation , grace and / or invocation .
• These guidelines are applicable for plenary sessions , luncheons and events .
• The phrase , “ Protocol having been established ….” is out of order and should never be used .
• When referring to the people on the dais , say “ members of the dais , dais participants or dais guests ” not “ the dais .”
• All meetings of this body start and end on time as set forth in the conference program .
