Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated  86TH CENTRAL REGIONAL CONFERENCE REGISTRATION BOOK "Exemplifying Excellence with Confidence and Southern Charm in the Bluegrass State” REGIONAL CONFERENCE COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES Archives - This committee shall establish and make recommendations for the implementation of a method of receiving, preserving and storing materials of historical significance to the Central Region. Awards – All awards will be judged by non-Sorors, however, Sorors are needed for logistical and maintenance assistance. Only non-delegates may serve on this committee. Boulé Luncheon & Hospitality - The committee will plan and implement the Regional Luncheon and other Central Region hospitality related activities at the Boulé. The committee will be responsible for circulation of information pertaining to the Boulé Luncheon. The committee will announce and extend invitations to all events in consultation with the Regional Director. Constitution and Bylaws - This committee shall propose and accept needed changes in the Constitution and Bylaws. Membership – This committee will discuss membership status and trends, as well as, recommend recruitment, retention and reactivation strategies. Recommendations - This committee will receive, compile, edit, and present recommendations from chapters and committees to the conference. Resolutions - This committee will receive, recommend, and edit resolutions from chapters and committees. Resolutions are binding. Therefore, this committee must evaluate the relevance and appropriateness of resolutions received. The committee should consult the Regional Director if there are questions concerning the stated directions. Rules - The Rules Committee will establish the standing rules to govern the proceedings of the Regional Conference. This committee must report to the conference at the first plenary session. Time and Place: Regional Conference and Cluster Retreats – This committee will inform the conference participants of future dates and locations of the Regional Conferences. The committee will also clarify dates and locations of Cluster Retreats. Undergraduate Activities - This committee will plan and develop strategies pertinent to undergraduate chapters and work with the Regional Director and Regional Representative on the International Undergraduate Activities Committee on matters relative to implementation.
