PROPOSED CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS
AMENDMENT FORM
1. Proposals for changes in the Constitution and Bylaws must be submitted on the Proposed
Constitution/Bylaws Amendment Form.
2. A chapter Soror must submit proposed bylaw change(s) for consideration to her chapter.
3. After approval by the chapter, proposed bylaw change(s) must be sent to the Regional Director for
consideration by the Regional Conference.
4. Recommendations from general members should be submitted directly to the Regional Director.
5. The envelope must be postmarked sixty (60) days prior to the date of the conference (must be
postmarked on or before January 11, 2020.
6. If the bylaw change is approved by two-thirds of the votes cast, the Regional Director must forward the
recommendation along with the transmittal form to Alpha Kappa Alpha Headquarters and to the
Chairman of the International Constitution Committee within thirty (30) days following the conference.
7. A copy must be retained by the Regional Director.
