COMMITEE AND PANEL OF JUDGES

Weijin was formerly a practicing lawyer in Singapore where he trained with some of Singapore’s largest law firms before moving to a smaller, boutique law firm specializing in areas of Commercial and Intellectual Property. Weijin has assisted numerous businesses in dealing with their legal issues. Within his initial years at the law firm, Weijin was already tasked with business development and handling the sales accounts for the law firm’s services while dealing with client relationship management. This meant that beyond performing his primary job as a lawyer, he was constantly interacting with numerous business owners and learning about the other real challenges they faced.

Weijin has amassed experiences in various areas of law which include Commercial, Privacy, Corporate and Intellectual Property. He has advised clients that span over numerous industries which include but are not limited to Spa & Wellness, Lifestyle, Photography, Real Estate Marketing, E-Commerce, F&B, Interior Designing and Renovation, Retail, Marketing & Communications, Hoteling & Hospitality, Events Organising, Printing and Stamping, Corporate Training, Human Resource Consulting, Immigration Consulting, Branding & Media, Tourism and Private Education.

Weijin has since, left private practice and founded The Alternative Avenue, a corporation focused on providing and seconding legal counsels to its corporate clients in a cost effective manner. The Alternative Avenue was created to address a growing need for legal assistance by SMEs which are not able to afford hefty legal fees. The Alternative Avenue’s cost effective solutions have ultimately allowed such SMEs to gain access to legal protection and guidance which they would have otherwise gone without due to their limited resources.

In line with encouraging a commercial environment where business owners are more aware of their legal risks and rights, Weijin is also the Chief Trainer of The Alternative Avenue’s Legal Training Department which delivers corporate legal training to businesses. Through a series of short lectures and workshops, alongside a comprehensive set of notes and reference customizable agreements, management teams of businesses, under the close guidance of Weijin and his team of consultants and trainers, now gain a deeper understanding of the legal issues in their respective industries and how the appropriate contractual agreements will serve to address such legal issues and risks that they may face.

The Alternative Avenue has also expanded recently to offer Trade Mark Registration Consultation Services for business that are interested in protecting their trade marks and branding.
