Gabriel-France RIGHTS OF EUROPEAN CITIZENS There are 6 main principles Human Dignity Freedom Democracy Equality Rule of Law Human Rights The European Union is an area of free movement within which everyone can move, stay and work freely. Every citizen of the Union has the right to vote and to stand as a candidate at municipal and European elections in the Member State where he or she resides, under the same conditions as nationals of that State. European citizens can make complaints and raise concerns of a European nature to the European Parliament. Complaints relating to maladministration by the European institutions can be addressed to the European Ombudsman. In a country without diplomatic representation from their country of origin, a European citizen can get help from the embassy or consulate of any other country in the European Union.From now on, a million citizens can, by their signature, change the course of European policies. Legislative initiative at European level can belong to the citizen. 56 CIRCULAR ECONOMY The circular economy refers to an economic model whose objectives is to produce goods and services in a sustainable manner by limiting consumption and waste of resources(raw material, water,energy…)as well as waste production . -There is the anti-waste law for a circular economy -The roadmap;it propose a series of concrete measures like reaching 100/100 recycled plastics by 2025 -It employs a lot of people (800,000 in France) Camille-France
