Institute for Sustainable Futures Sustainability Showcase
Keele Business School was delighted to host the launch of the Institute for Sustainable Futures , along with the latter Re-imagining the Institute for Sustainable Futures : A Sustainability Showcase event .
The Institute for Sustainable Futures contributes to research , education , and training , that has a positive impact on the long-term sustainability of our societies , environments , and ecosystems across local to global scales .
The Re-imagining the Institute for Sustainable Futures : A Sustainability Showcase event covered several sustainability-related themes , such as external perspectives on sustainability and the role of universities , lessons from transdisciplinary research and education projects at Keele : Working across disciplines with non- academic partners , and sustainability project development : Pitches for collaboration .
Within each theme speakers both internal and external to the University were invited to present their work around sustainability and the sustainable development goals . Such presentations included topics such as sustainable finance , industrial partnerships for sustainability , social inclusion and multicultural participation in / for sustainable futures , empowering youth , sustainable security and governance , and more .
Professor Ghulam Sorwar , Professor of Finance at KBS , was appointed as a Deputy Director of the Institute for Sustainable Futures .
