Selected Grants and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships ( KTPs )

KTP partnerships bring new skills and the latest academic thinking into the business partner to deliver a specific , strategic innovation project . For example :
Magiboards :
The aim of this KTP is to increase and innovate the global market share of Magiboards in the worldwide manufacturing market by developing a series of lean modular visualisation products , and in increasing the creative skills of the company . This will be achieved by transforming the management systems and processes of design , production , and distribution of products , by development and embedding in cross functional management , and in utilising an evidence-based approach .
Risual :
The aim of this KTP was to investigate marketing strategies utilising the contemporary understanding of the dynamic connectivity within and between functional brain networks , revealed by advances in neuro-psychological research over the past decade to underpin a neuroscientific approach to systematic sales and marketing .
TMT :
The aim of this KTP was to apply leading-edge data technology to enable and sustain a whole business growth strategy through implementing and re-evaluating data tools and techniques to serve TMT ’ s expansion , sustainability , and creativity . Drawing on data sources to systematically deliver , whilst instilling evidencebased rigor to the systems that are being intuitively used .
London Stone :
The aim of this KTP is to implement an automated machine learning and artificial intelligenceenabled customer service , for the purpose of supporting a virtual sales assistant and customer service processes within a newly implemented ERP . Furthermore , the KTP aims to drive more customer interactions online , and to allow reorganisation of the whole business ( staff and process ) to a customer-focused setup .
Accelerated Innovation
Four businesses , eight students , one creative problem-solving innovation weekend at Keele University . We were extending KRISP projects for assisting Staffordshire SMEs with innovation . Drawing on the knowledge and creative ideas , supported by innovation advisors and academics , students worked over the weekend turning organisation ’ s problems into researchable dilemmas and then solutions . This pilot tested everyone to come up with researched , viable business solutions in just 20 hours per student , creating vibrant and intellectually grounded solutions with an immediacy that delighted the companies . With EEUK ’ s support we will be scaling this up to a wide range of different assistance projects .
UKRI Funding ( UK Marine Fund ): Simultaneously Enabling Autonomy and Reducing Environmental Impact of Small Boats ( Lead Organization : EMB Power Limited )
Designing infrastructure and a technical architecture for new hybrid propulsion systems in small craft including small marine fishing fleets . These craft are responsible for pollution in some of the most fragile ecosystems on the planet and create pollution in the waters that they profit from and exploit for leisure activities . The project will carry over experiences & technical solutions from the automotive industry , whilst taking into account the specialist environment & operating characteristics , to improve fuel economy , reduce their environmental impact & creating an electrified propulsion platform on which marine autonomy can be built .
