EFFECT 2 : HIT THE TARGET

You will need : Sticky tack , a drawing of a target

Have you ever seen a film where someone throws a dart , and it hits the bullseye perfectly ? It ’ s possible the actor didn ’ t actually do that themselves ! For this trick , you will need a ball of sticky tack and a drawing of a target , which is stuck to a wall . The actor must be filmed holding the ball , then moving their arm as if they are throwing it ( but they shouldn ’ t actually let go !). As they ‘ throw ’, the camera must whizz in the direction of the throw , so the picture becomes a blur . Then pause the filming mid-blur ! Now , stick the blu-tack in the middle of your target . When you ’ re ready to film again , press record as you continue the whizz , and stop moving the camera when it ’ s facing the target . When the video plays , it will look like the actor threw the ball there !

EFFECT THREE : Fake blood

You will need : Measuring jug , a cup , a teaspoon , icing sugar , red food colouring , cocoa powder

Fake blood is great for a scene about vampires ! To make fake blood , get a measuring jug and fill it will 100 ml of water . Then add 4 teaspoons of icing sugar , mix it and pour it into a cup . Then , add some red food colouring until the water is all red . It ’ ll be a bit too runny to look like blood , so add 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder . This will thicken the fake blood and also make it darker , like real blood . Gory !
