STEP 2 : Discover your personal element

Go to a mirror , pick up one of the colours , then close your eyes and hold it next to your face . When you open your eyes , think about how strongly you feel that colour represents you . Do you like how each colour looks against your hair , your skin and your eyes ? Does the colour match your personality ? For example , you might feel that red brings out your energy , or maybe purple reflects your mysterious side ! Rank each colour from 1 to 10 , with 1 being ‘ nothing like me ’ and 10 being ‘ a lot like me ’. The colour with the highest number is your element ! If there are colours that get the same numbers , you ’ ll have to try them in the mirror again and take your pick !

STEP 3 : Gather clothes and accessories

Have you ever heard of a colour consultant ? These are people

who help others work out what colours bring out their best

features – like an earthy green to bring out someone ’ s vibrant

red hair , or a combination of blues to reflect someone ’ s cool

personality and help people around them feel relaxed . Lots of

adults have colour consultations to help them look ten years

younger , but unless you want to look under four years old , that

might not be for you ! So , you ’ re going to become your own Colour

Consultant , but with an exciting , elemental twist ! Follow the steps

below to discover whether you are an Earth , Wind , Water or Fire

element , then harness this new-found power to pick the perfect

elemental outfit !

Congratulations ! You have your element ! Now , go to your wardrobe , or ask a friend or family member if you can use theirs , and find some clothes and accessories that match your element . Here are the colours to look for , based on your element :

Earth : Green , brown , yellow Wind : Purple , grey , black Water : Blue , white , silver Fire : Red , orange , gold

STEP 3 : Create your outfit

Put on your outfit ! Can you feel the powers of your element flow through you ? Either way , we ’ re sure you look fabulous ! Now that you ’ re a certified ECCC ( Elemental Colour Clothing Consultant ), you can help your friends choose their elemental looks too !

YOU WILL NEED

Grey , black or white clothes if possible

STEP 1 : Collect the colours of the elements

Before you start , make sure you ’ re wearing grey , black or white clothes if possible . Too many colours might distract from the tasks ahead ! If you have coloured pencils : Cut a piece of paper into four pieces . Take a red pencil to draw a flame on one piece of paper . Take a green pencil to draw a tree on another piece of paper . Take a purple pencil to draw swirls of wind on the third piece of paper . Take a blue pencil to draw waves on the final piece of paper . If you don ’ t have coloured pencils : Grab something red for Fire , something green for Earth , something purple for Wind and something blue for Water . These four colours hold the mystical powers of the elements , and you are about to harness one of them ( well , that ’ s what we ’ re pretending )!
