I would like the introduction of a Lions tour maybe every four years similar to the union set up and am sure this would raise a lot of interest especially down under as this would be a feather in their cap if the Aussies could overcome what would be undoubtedly a talented side with the absolute cream of UK rugby league.
The splitting up of the Great Britain side into individual countries has taken much out of the team as a whole but I genuinely do not believe that the Australians are better athletes than ours nor do I buy into the notion that they are technically better than us I just believe that it the intensity that me miss on big occasions and our showing in the last world cup shows that we are getting closer, young English players are at last getting an opportunity to showcase their talents, most to good effect and the future does look brighter for our game and if this continues hopefully coaches will stop looking for quick fix overseas recruitment to the detriment of our international aspirations
