On my bike I’m at one with the surroundings. I’m now part of that environment and loving every second of it.

Motorcycles saved me from reaching a place from which some don't return. I was in no small way encouraged by my family and closest friends and will always remember the time that they gave to see me through. Motorcycles are my therapy, they’re my escape, my life line.

This is obviously the very short version of my story and experience and I hope that it makes some people open up, let others take a look at the possibility that riding can help and for those that want to support them to give some encouragement along the way.

Look around and see the growing support from biker groups against bullies, and in support of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It clearly works for others too.

I see these groups and I know first hand the help, the support and the encouragement that they can bring during dark times.

Look around yourself and see who you know that rides and is dealing with life issues, we all are to some extent, now ask yourself how you can help. JD, Glasgow
