MV Agusta say that their latest Turismo Veloce SCS is "the fastest light sport tourer" and we'd tend to agree.

The last time we tested an MV Turismo was a little over 2 years ago and it impressed at the time on the wide open highways and sweeping mountain roads in and around Dubai. The latest model has taken that base setting and been improved in almost all aspects of the bike's performance, handling, comfort and styling.

MV have maintained the same 800 triple used in their Brutale and Dragster for the Turismo. It’s a well proven power plant with excellent performance and as the saying goes, there’s no point reinventing the wheel. The 110hp generated by the 800 triple coupled with the SCS and quickshifter (up and down) take this Turismo out of the traditional touring category and drop if firmly into the sports touring line - and well ahead of its competitors at only 192kg dry weight.

The first impression of most MV Agusta’s these days sits squarely with the styling, it’s one aspect of bike design that MV has charged ahead with as their competitors roll out ever similar looking models year on year. The Turismo’s sleek lines and striking paintwork aren’t what the traditional tourers have been adorned with over the years and although the Turismo has always been a good looking bike the latest version is a head turner from all angles.

We don’t just hang around looking at bikes, although it’s something we all enjoy and getting onboard the Turismo is the next step. The seat height may be a bit high for some riders (85cm) but the sculpted seat allows a bit of ease for us not so tall riders to reach the floor comfortably.
