S2D2 Shetland 2 Day Trial
Shetland's first nationally classified two-day motorcycle trial was held last weekend in West Burrafirth attracting riders from across the country.
With beginners and Scottish champions in the line up the weekend was one of competition and fun with some of the younger riders receiving guidance from seasoned veterans including the top
Scot in the 2019 SSDT Andy Anderson. Andy was the overall winner dropping 22 points over the weekend.
It might have been a bit of a hike to get to the Shetlands but the scenery and weather didn't disappoint and neither did the trial.
The riders and spectators were all very complimentary of the event and the organisers giving praise to the local team and Bon Accord Motorcycle Club for a very successful trial that is likely to grow in popularity in the coming years.
Results for the top three in each class were – Blue Adult: 1 Andy Anderson; 2 Russ Rooksby; 3 Tom Middleton. Blue Over 40: 1 Kevin White. Blue Youth A: No finishers.
