When you were growing up, were motorcycles prevalent in your early years, and did you have any racing heroes?

I was a late starter to bike not really riding until I was 24 when I got my road licence after taking my Direct access with ProScot Kirkaldy. Since then my interest grew. I didn’t have any real heroes neither do I now but I do admire the whole road racing paddock seeing the hard work and sacrifices we all have to go through. Favourite has to be Peter Hickman

What are you looking forward to most for the Manx GP 2019, and any other events this year?

I find the road racing community to be very different from circuits. Its' such a fun friendly place to be amongst like minded people from all walks of life but one common interest.

Then the main thing I can wait for the anticipation for the tap on the shoulder to launch down Brayhill.

What advice would you give to other riders wanting to compete in the Manx GP?

HOMEWORK, at our newcomers weekend we got told of Peter Hickmans 87 laps of prep prior to his first TT. I have completed 40 up to July with another 30 planned prior to the event.

Away from the race track describe your perfect day?

Perfect day off racing would be taking my fiancée Eva and our French Bulldog Lucifer into the woods while they have a walk. I can get the mountain bike out tear up the trails.

Then obviously take the other half out for dinner for taking my mountain bike when we supposed to be going for a walk.
