Every year a new batch of newcomers apply for an entry at the Manx GP. They don't all make the grade but for those that do it's the beginning of a journey with Manx and TT officials that they'll never forget. This year one of those lucky few is Scotsman Chris Stuart. We caught up with Chris whilst he’s preparing for the Manx later this month.

Having tasted the pure roads racing, what would be your favorite race, venue and why?

My favourite event so far would be Cookstown 100, Northern Ireland, it was the first road race I felt confident and started to learn how little differences in roads surface i.e. bumps can affect your braking and how to adjust rather than just holding on hoping to finish safe.

Who in your opinion are the best riders you have been locking horns and elbows since your career started, not only on the track but the way they were off track?

The best riders had to have been the guys on the Irish Road Racing Championship always rubbing on such tight circuits, off the track great people to be around always good craic in the evenings.
