On day one and two we had a ride out to familiarise ourselves with the local area starting out at Ponderosa Cafe for a hearty breakfast. It's a great way to start the day at this bikers cafe followed by by some sweeping flowing roads. Unfortunately we missed the Motorcycle Museum but we did get an ice cream at Bala, by Llyn Tegid.

Day 3 we headed North West towards Snowdonia National Park and then south down to Borth where we picked some great B Roads and a nice fish tea at the local restaurant and stay at the YMCA.

Day 4 (Ice cream day again) at Aberyswth then some amazing roads over the Devil's staircase towards Brecon. Trainspotting Wullie missed a ride on an old miniature steam train. He was content with another ice cream. Towards the end of the day day we visited another renowned motorcycle cafe I think it was near Llandovery where we enjoyed great conversation and banter and also another ice cream. To end and the day we headed to Bwlch and to have an accommodation in a lovely quaint pub called The New Inn. Here we were met by Simon's wife and an amazing barbecue.

Day 5 was an early start and our last day before heading home to Scotland. Some of us had the luxury off jumping into to the vans at Llangollen but Wayne and Mike took the long way around in the saddle, not arriving home until 8:00 the following day. They did however enjoy the scenic Peak District, and the refreshing rain.

From Bwlch we headed north Llandrindod Wells then up the A438 to Newtown... wow!

What an amazing road to drive on a motorcycle. And after that I'm sad to say it was a long boring journey (sorry Gordon and Wullie) up the M6 and M74 in a van).

Oh, however I must emphasise, that riding between 45 and 60 miles an hour (downhill with the wind behind you) is is a must-do motorcycle experience, as you can sit back relax and enjoy the scenery. At this trotting along speed you can sit back have a cigarette and even put your feet up :-D.. well perhaps not that much, but you know what I mean..

Also this time we did not do it for charity. It was only for male bonding, banter and to have the wind on our face. Oh and for the Ice Cream. Anyway, a big shout out to everyone who's company I enjoyed.. Wayne, Mike, Wullie Tony, Simon, Gordon, John, Tam, Gary, Harvey and the regulars who couldn't make it Scot, Paul, Tom, Terry and Steve and also to the people we met on the tour..
