Let from ter t Edito he r From the Heart There are times in our lives when things come full circle and you realize you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. Last year we started this publication as a tool to help seniors and those that love them. However, it wasn’t until one of my parents recently became ill that it made me truly realize just how relevant 55+ Living Guide is to me. Every ad, each article and every senior I speak with all have more meaning to me because I’m living it. I’m helping to care for my parents. Most people don’t plan for things that can change their lives in a heartbeat. I began to ask myself questions like; What will happen with Social Security when mom or dad is no longer here? How will this affect the person left? How much will Medicare pay for? What will happen to their retirement money if they require more advanced care? Where will mom live? Does dad have a living will? Who can help me put a plan in place? Is homecare an option? The reason why I love what I do is because I get to help people and to provide useful information that can help adult children, more advanced seniors & all those in between. Regardless of where your age falls in the spectrum of being senior I want to be able to make your life easier. Please check out our brand new website 55PlusLivingGuide.com to learn more information about housing options, sign up for deals & discounts, read articles and find local events. I’m exactly where I was meant to be, doing what I love and learning from all of you. I will continue to make this publication The Ultimate Living Guide for Seniors and Those Who Love Them!
