Editor's Message
With the close of Summer I look forward to the
start of Fall, one of my favorite seasons because
for me it represents a sort of calmness. The rush
of Summer and being constantly on the go
seems to come to a halt with the transition into
Fall. I breathe a sigh of relief.
From your first bite of a crisp apple or the
sweet taste of a cider donut, to admiring the
colors changing leaves, it’s all part of life slowing
down. I stop to look at the leaves, pull on a
sweater and enjoy the new season.
Closer to home the Capital Region abounds
this time of year with plenty of weekend events.
Check out the Capital Region Apple & Wine
Festival at The Altamount Fair Grounds or start
to train for the 69th Annual Troy Turkey Trot,
you are never too old to start exercising! (pg. 36)
Ahh… for the love of wine! Any season is
a good season for a glass of wine so this Fall
explore some of New York’s wineries (pg 10).
Try a new wine this Fall… they don’t have to
