ALUMNI EVENTS & ENGAGEMENT

Keele Day 2021 : recap
We were thrilled to host our first ever fully virtual Keele Day in July this year – a digital event , enabling alumni and friends of Keele to celebrate all things Keele . After a welcome from our Vice-Chancellor , Keelites could hear from the class of 1971 Golden Graduate representative , watch student performances and listen to our live discussion panels .
Guests could also take part in virtual tours , explore our archives , and share their own memories .
If you missed out , you can still explore our tours and archives here . keele . ac . uk / about / alumni / alumnieventsandreunions / flagshipevents / keeleday

Grand Challenges Pathway
Be part of the challenge of improving global health and reducing inequality .
From 2022 , new students to Keele , will be offered the opportunity to join the Grand Challenges Pathway in Global Health . This pathway will run across the three years of a student ’ s degree and will focus on improving the health , quality of life , and wellbeing of communities and populations .
The overall aim of the pathway , which students will complete alongside their main degree , is to develop a student ’ s employability , linked to global health .
Year 1 - Students will be introduced to key global health challenges and encouraged to develop knowledge and approaches on an issue of their interest . Students will also develop their digital fluency and link internationally with other organisations .
Year 2 - The focus will be on developing evidenced-based strategies to reduce inequalities and improve global health .
Year 3 - Students will experience working with organisations on global health projects .
We need you !
Keele alumni are fundamental to the pathway and we would love you to get involved . If you have experience in any element of global health , please get in touch . We would welcome alumni who would be able to talk about the work they do and how it focuses on improving health in populations ( no matter how small or where ).
We are also interested in hearing from anyone who may like to provide mentorship for students or those who are aware of placements / projects linked to global health that students would benefit from .
If you have any further questions or want to get involved , email alumni . hq @ keele . ac . uk .
