4Youth Success Tweetup
A Twitter meet up is not uncommon nowadays. Usually called a "tweetup", it is a small event where those who are active on Twitter meet somewhere to discuss a certain topic. Of course, they tweet about it meanwhile. In Amman, most tweetups have been organized by a group of friends, and never was it held in the name of a specific social media team.
Our marketing and social media teams decided to hold a tweetup at Nestle Toll House in Rainbow Street where they invited young successful Jordanian people to share ideas and thoughts about how they got to where they are now; that is, how they became successful. The list of attendees included Michael Makdah, Sima Najjar, Thomas Makhlouf, Robert Aboud, Mohammad A-Abdullat and many more.
The debate was heated, and everyone was eager to share advice. Our team, students and friends came to the event, which was advertised on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. During the event, we were going by the hashtag #youthsuccess on our Twitter account.
Because it was a huge success, we're planning a bigger one! We're looking forward to seeing you there. Following are some pieces of advice shared during the conversation, but you can find more on our Twitter profile.
"Know what to focus on and set your priorities straight" -Mohammad Al-Abdullat from Operation Smile-Jordan
"Make connections and know more stories, but don't listen to everyone" -Robert Aboud, a 19-year-old film maker
"Businesses are like a financial black hole. Cash flow management is what makes a successful business." -Michael Makdah, co-founder of JoBedu
"You need to follow your gut sometimes" -Sima Najjar, owner of Sims Agency and founder of EKeif.com
