Synopsis:
The National Historical Publications and Records Commission seeks proposals to publish documentary
editions of historical records. Projects may focus on the papers of major figures from American history or
cover broad historical movements in politics, military, business, social reform, the arts, and other aspects of
the national experience. The historical value of the records and their expected usefulness to broad audiences
must justify the costs of the project.

Synopsis:
The Sociology Program supports basic research on all forms of human social organization -- societies,
institutions, groups and demography -- and processes of individual and institutional change. The Program
encourages theoretically focused empirical investigations aimed at improving the explanation of
fundamental social processes. Included is research on organizations and organizational behavior, population
dynamics, social movements, social groups, labor force participation, stratification and mobility, family,
social networks, socialization, gender roles, and the sociology of science and technology.

Synopsis:
The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to help ensure the vitality and
diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. The program recognizes and
supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees in
science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and in STEM education. The GRFP provides
three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for
significant research achievements in STEM and STEM education. NSF especially encourages women,
