40 under F orty A wards 2017 Winners Alonso Hurtado, Ecija Hurtado is a partner at Ecija specialising in IT, privacy and compliance. At the age of 26, Hurtado founded the legal boutique Lextic, which specialises in ICT law. In 2012, Lextic was integrated with Ecija – Hurtado became a partner aged 28. His clients include El Corte Ingles, Sanitas, Cepsa, AXA, EDP, The Phone House, SAP, Banco Santander, and SegurCaixa Adeslas. Hurtado has advised on the design and development of biometric identification systems (facial and voice detection) for preventing money-laundering in the financial sector. He has also advised on big data systems and artificial intelligence aimed at preventing cybersecurity breaches. Ángela López Molina, Grupo Empresarial San José López Molina is head of the international legal department at Grupo Empresarial San José. In 2007, after four years as a lawyer at Garrigues, López Molina was seconded to the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide legal advice to Spanish companies doing business in China. In 2008, she left Garrigues to join Clyde & Co in Shanghai. Two years later, López Molina moved to the Shanghai office of DS Avocats.
