AGENT’S CORNER
Dear 4-H Members & Families,
Happy Easter everyone! This year is flying by and it is wrapping up strong! We have an exciting new
fundraising announcement opportunity for all members and clubs! Please see the “We support Hidalgo
County 4-H!” Sponsorship flyer for more details or call the Extension Office. We hope to show off the 4-H
Clover all around town! Just a reminder, there is a new Eligibility From on hidalgo.agrilife.org, please use this
form for all future events and please look to the District 12 4-H Events page for all deadlines concerning
District 12 events. Please come to us for any questions, here are who you can contact for questions: Andrea-
4-H program management, Newsletter, Adult committees, Food and Nutrition and photography projects;
Brad-Livestock, validation, Stock shows; Joanne-Fashion Show, County Council; Ashley-Recordbook,
Horticulture project, Roundup; and Esly-County Council and Ambassadors. Thank you for your patience as
we work together to create a great 4-H program for our kids!
As a reminder, all members (volunteers, club managers, and adult leaders) can and should (re)enroll
on 4-H Connect for the 2017-2018 year. Members will not be eligible to participate in 4-H events unless
Active on Connect. To be eligible to show/exhibit at STAR or RGVLS, members must be Active on Connect by
November 1 st . There are several profiles still INCOMPLETE, please login and verify that your enrollment was
submitted and processed successfully!
As always, thank you to all the kids, parents and volunteers that donate their time to help and make
the Hidalgo County 4-H program great! We look forward to a great year!
