Para Motoring
The term was paramotoring first used by
Englishman Mike Byrne in 1980 and
popularized in France around 1986 when
La Mouette began adapting power to the
then-new paraglider wings. The power plants
are almost exclusively small two-stroke
internal combustion engines, between 80 cc
and 350 cc, that burn a mixture of gasoline
and oil.
Paramotoring is an unlicensed thrill. Like
paragliding and hang gliding, it is
foot-launched, so you do not need a licence,
but you are still bound by aviation law. And,
crucially, it is only safe in benign weather
conditions; it should not be attempted if the
wind is stronger than 15 or 20 knots.
For a new high quality motor and paraglider
the entry level cost is around $9500. The
most expensive full set-up (which includes a
carbon fiber trike, top end glider and the
veritable Ferrari of paramotors) would be near
$22,000

kilometers from the airport. A Powered
Paraglider can be launched from and landed
on any obstruction-free flat surface. It is
vital for a Paramotor pilot to understand all
airspace rules when flying a Paramotor.
A Powered Paraglider is usually flown at a
height of 150 to 300 feet from the ground.
There is a world record of a paramotor flight
at 18,000 feet.
The top destinations in India for Paramotoring
are Pune, Kamshet, Mumbai, Gurgaon and
Noida with multiple agencies offering their
services for the adrenalin seeking crowd.
Sky Diving
The most thrilling open sky adventure sport
is also known as parachuting or parachute
jumping.
Parachuting is a method of transiting from
a high point to Earth with the aid of gravity,
involving the control of speed during the
descent with the use of a parachute or
parachutes. It may involve more or less
free-falling (the skydiving segment) which is
