2013 Group Holidays
Southdowns Holiday Village,
Bracklesham Bay, West Sussex in June
A five day trip to the seaside where everyone had a lovely time. The weather
was perfect with sunshine all week. There were trips to Chichester for some
ten pin bowling and shopping. A brilliant day out to Exbury Gardens and
Railway as well as a visit to Fishbourne Castle followed by a cream tea. Evening
entertainment had everyone on the dance floor including our wheelchair users.
Teenagers’ Activity Holiday
at the Calvert Trust, Exmoor in July
Our young group went to Devon this year. We had 5 new guests as well as 3 regular
ones. New friendships were formed amongst the guests who said they can’t wait
for next year! A trip to the Big Sheep was very popular during the week and the
activities on site were excellent. Our amazing helpers did a fantastic job of ensuring the holiday went without a hitch.
A activity holiday for over 18s at the
Bendrigg Trust, Lake District in August
Our older activity holiday went to Bendrigg for the first time this year and
loved it! They did various activities during the week in three groups of 11 as
there were so many of them but got together in the evenings. Their day out to
Blackpool for a trip to the circus was followed by a fish and chip supper on the
beach. Everyone had an amazing week.
West Shore Hotel, Llandudno, Wales in September
A fun packed holiday in great weather made for a very successful holiday. Everyone loved
seeing Blood Brothers at the theatre. There were also trips on the horse drawn barge in Llangollen. Visits
to Bet sy co ed, Great Orme, Bodnant Garden and Anglesey made for a busy week. There were plenty of smiles on their
return. Our thanks to all our helpers, especially the new ones who were brilliant according to our holiday leader Eileen.
Tall Ships - Day Trip
Three young guests had the opportunity to sail on a Tall Ship
for the day. They left from Poole in Dorset and sailed along the
coast, taking turns to pull the sails down and learn about the
ropes. They also loved the food on board, especially the cake!
