Summer Organ Sampler Concerts

STEPHEN PRICE : JUNE 2 @ 11:30 AM JONATHAN GREGOIRE : JULY 21 @ 11:30 AM JAN KRAYBILL : AUGUST 18 @ 11:30 AM UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE HERITAGE CENTER ( 2255 BENNETT ST ) The University of Dubuque Heritage Center ’ s Summer Organ Sampler Concerts return this summer , showcasing the custom-crafted John and Alice Butler Pipe Organ . The concerts are held at 11:30 a . m . in University of Dubuque Heritage Center ’ s John and Alice Butler Hall in cooperation with Sinsinawa Mound Center ’ s Summer Organ Concert Series .
Stephen Price , DM , kicks off the series on Thursday , June 2 . A native of Buffalo ,
NY , Price currently teaches organ , church music , and music theory at Ball State University in Muncie , IN . He was recently appointed dean of the Indianapolis Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and also serves on the Organ Historical Society ’ s Advisory Membership committee .

Enjoy a special collaborative sculpture , Dance Diversity , along with individual pieces from each the artist . Planted . welcomes Ally Dzurka . Having grown up in the Midwest , Ally ’ s art is inspired by the rolling farm hills and quirky farm animals that inhabit the Midwestern landscape . •

Emergence Opening Reception

FRIDAY , JUNE 3 @ 5 – 7 PM GALENA CENTER FOR THE ARTS ( 971 GEAR ST , GALENA , IL ) While the Regional Artists Gallery at Galena Center for the Arts has been in hibernation for the last couple of years , they are about to emerge into a real , live , in-person experience . Artists have not quit making art , and now , it ’ s time to shine !
Emergence will be on display June 3 through July 31 on Fridays , Saturdays , and Sundays from 11 a . m . to 4 p . m . Join for the opening night reception on Friday , June 3 from 5 to 7 p . m . with bubbly and chocolate to celebrate .
STILL UNDER WRAPS BY MARY KATOS
This exhibit will be a diverse collection of regional artists ’ work that has been created in the last couple years , or tucked away in storage , bringing their work to light to share with our community .
