to be something that has to be
continually fought against.
Love comes second to this battle.
The ‘after’ weight loss state
is dealt with by the third
image which is titled “The new
me”; oddly there is no mention
of her partner and he is not
shown with her in the photo.
Gill simply enthuses that she
“can’t wait to get dressed up
and go out!”. It could be argued
that Gill is simply focusing on
herself after her achievement.
However, the language used is
concerning. The ‘after’ state
is associated with being a
“new” woman, hence it could be
assumed that to get to this
point Gill has had to focus
solely on losing weight and
consequently her marriage may
have become her second priority.
