This Girl Can™ is a successful campaign initiated by Sport
England and funded by the government. The aim is to get more
women involved in sport at all levels, ranging from individual
efforts like jogging, to grassroots club level like netball. My
magazine is a new addition to this campaign. It is an insight
in to professional sportswomen and the female sporting world,
whilst also being more approachable than the traditional
sporty magazines such as Runner’s World, Sport, or Women’s Health.
The magazine will be quarterly and each issue will be related to
relevant seasonal sports. Subscription will be £25, and includes
unlimited access to all content on the website via personal
log in. This will allow the subscriber to comment on posts, be
a part of the TGD online community and have full access to
all articles and videos, where non-subscribers only get a small
preview. An annual wall calendar marked with big sporting event
dates will be posted to subscribers as a free gift, featuring
inspirational sportswomen and female teams in each month.
