33 YEARS @ CTSS: KEY MILESTONES IN CHARACTER AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FOR CLEMENTEENS

2010 • 30th Anniversary celebrations
• Pilot School for the Whole-School Approach to English( WSAE)
• ABC Clementeen Hall of Fame was set up
• Refinements made to CTSS THINK-FEEL-ACT framework, incorporating C2015 outcomes
• Concept of a spiral curriculum for CCE was mooted
• Uniformed Group vision: Every Cadet, a Leader, was established and UG was positioned as a platform for student leadership development
• Formation of National Education Ambassadors Board
• Second musical: Kopi Shop Rock! was staged
• School-wide e-learning was introduced to promote self-directed learning
2011 • Lee Kuan Yew Award for Outstanding Normal Course Students was accorded to Don Sim
• Renewal of Uniformed Group niche and Direct School Admission status
• Introduction of National Education and Student Development Frameworks
• Preparatory work for transition from CIP to Service Learning
• Implementation of school-wide Education and Career Guidance in CTSS
• Move towards‘ Every Teacher, A Character & Citizenship Education Teacher’
• School-wide implementation of Highly Effective Youths( HEY) programme
• CCP Taskforce was set up to mount school-wide efforts on Character and Citizenship Education
• CTSS joined MCYS- School Family Education Scheme
• Introduction of Leadership Handover Ceremony and symbols of student leadership for all CCAs
• National Education Heritage Gallery was set up
• Drama-in-Curriculum was introduced to lower secondary classes
• Integration of 21st Century Competencies into the IP Curriculum
2012 • Introduction of Service Learning to heighten corporate social responsibility and imbue in students the“ Pay-it-forward” mentality for all students
• Revamp of Student Council to include National Education Ambassadors and Discipline Leaders to bring student leadership to a higher level
• Introduction of leadership simulation exercise for selection of Student Council EXCO
• Implementation of school-wide Cyberwellness Programme
• Step up of Talent Development Programme for English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities

• CTSS transited from School Family Education to Family Matters @ School
• Introduction of PE & CCA Framework and the CT Extravaganza to encourage students to adopt a healthy lifestyle and enjoy sports for life
