Beresford Haughton Vyvyan died on 18th August 1917, from wounds obtained whilst on active service. He was 24 years of age, and serving as a temporary Captain at the time of his death with the Royal Horse Artillery and the Royal Field Artillery, “A” Battery, 121 Brigade. He is buried at Dozinghm Military Cemetery, Poperinge, West-Viaanderen, Belgium. He is remembered on Penarth War Memorial in Alexandra Park Berseford’s address at the time of his death was given as 8 Beach Road, Penarth, and administration was given to his father, Hugh Norris Vyvyvan, a shipbroker, and his effects were £274 3s 5d.
