Vaughan’s effects included his silver cigarette case, his compass and his revolver. The Imperial
War Commission contacted Mr F. Vaughan Cleves who was living at Mount Stuart House, Mount
Stuart Square at that time, and he selected the wording “May he rest in Peace” on the cross on
Reginald’s grave.
Vaughan is remembered on memorials in St John’s Church Porthcawl, Alexandra Park Penarth and,
of course, where he is buried at Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery, Souchez, Pas de Calais.
