Medicine Cabinet :
Medicine cabinets are usually 3 ” wide and have 3 shelves only which leaves us with a lot of empty space in the height between shelves . Therefore we ’ ll concentrate on utilizing the space we have in the height .
Use acrylic tall holders instead of narrow long ones for toothpaste , toothbrushes , Q tips , Band Aids , nail clippers etc . Stand items upright to save space and to avoid washing toothpaste off your holder daily . ( see photos )… If you keep your makeup in the medicine chest use the special makeup organizer which has a lot of little compartments to keep everything neat and clean .
Tubes and brushes standing upright don ’ t smear the container nor the other makeup accessories .
Creams and ointments can also be placed in an upright position , but if you have too many , a long narrow holder can keep them all organized . Leave one shelf container-free to line up all bottles ( shampoo , mouthwash , deodorant ) neatly . If you don ’ t have a drawer for hair accessories use individual small squares for pony rubbers , hair clips etc .
