Q. How advanced will my Rooted Cuttings plants be when I receive them? A. Depending on the crop, most plants ship out 4-6 weeks after stick. Plants will be rooted and ready for transplant.

Q. When should I have my Rooted Cutting orders in to my broker? A. The earlier you can place your order, the better we can help ensure the availability of what you want, when you want it. In years past, we suggested that Spring Rooted Cutting orders reach us by early October and Rooted Cutting Poinsettia orders by late February to guarantee availability. We are now encouraging you to order ASAP. Please also consider that your broker will need time to process the order before sending it to us as well. Check with your broker for more specific ordering dates. We do accept late orders subject to availability.
Q. How do I find out what varieties you offer? A. Your broker will have a complete listing of available varieties & sizes in our Rooted Cutting Programs. You can also obtain a copy of our variety listings on our website www. lucasgreenhouses. com.
Q. How will my order ship? A. The Lucas Greenhouse shipping team works hard to accommodate your delivery requests and needs. With our ever growing fleet of tractor trailers and straight trucks, we are ready to deliver what you need, when you need it. To make for a fast and efficient delivery, all our trucks are equipped with lift gates and all your plants are shipped on our convenient to unload carts. Our young plants can be delivered by grower truck, Fedex, UPS, or can be picked up at our greenhouse. Over 80 % of our young plants ship to your door on temperature controlled trucks. Please check with your broker for freight rates & minimums.
Q. Will tags come with my order? A. Tags can be purchased with many of our rooted cuttings. They will come directly from the tag manufacturers, separately from your plants. Orders should indicate if no tags are necessary, a tag is required for each cutting. Tags may be ordered in 1:1 to 1:10 cutting ratios..
Q. What if I experience any problems with my order? A. Complete customer satisfaction is our goal. If you do experience any problems with your order, please contact your broker immediately. Cutting quality claims must be filed with the broker and reported to Lucas within 48 hours of receipt of cuttings. Details of the claim should include the nature of the problem( frozen cuttings, small cuttings, poorly rooted, etc.). Varieties impacted and quantity of cuttings affected should also be included. Pictures of the affected material must be included and / or the sales rep should visit to verify the claim.

Q. Does Lucas Greenhouses offer finished product? A. Yes, Lucas Greenhouses is the perfect source for high quality finished plants. We offer a full line of annuals for every season, starting in the spring with many different types of hanging baskets, bedding flats, # 6 pots, # 4.5 pots, combination pots, & planters. To get you through the heat of summer, we have created an excellent summer crop line. For fall, we produce beautiful asters, mums, cabbage, kale & pansies. For Christmas, we offer many sizes and varieties of poinsettias. We also offer tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, & pansies for the Easter Season.
Q. What if I want to order finished plants from Lucas Greenhouses... who do I contact? A. All Finished Plant orders should be placed directly with Lucas Greenhouses. Q. Can I schedule my order to be a Customer Pick Up? A. With our 53 bay loading dock and fully staffed shipping department, we are prepared to quickly handle vehicles of all sizes. If you would like to schedule your order to be a CPU, just indicate that to your broker.
