Course Name: Foundations of Interior Design Type of Course: Elective Course
Available to: 9th- 11th grade
Prerequisites: None
Description: This is the first course in the Interiors, Fashion and Textiles pathway. Students are introduced to the basic fundamentals of design and the interior design profession. The skills taught throughout the course will allow the student to investigate and explore the various careers within the aspects of interior design. Students will gain kmowledge of the history of interior furnishings.
Course Name: Fundamentals of Fashion Type of Course: Elective Course Available to: 10th- 12th grade Prerequisites: Foundations of Interior Design( 74 %+)
Description: This is the second course in the Interior, Fashion and Textiles pathway. This course introduces students to the fascinating world of how textiles are woven into the fabric of everyday life. The course is designed to advance student skills in the selection, purchase, design, care, and construction of textile products. The course emphasizes critical thinking skills needed for making wise consumer choices and career decisions.

Available to: 11th- 12th grade
Prerequisites: Fundamentas of Fashion( 74 %+)
Description: This is the third course in the Interior, Fashion and Textiles pathway. This course introduces students to the fascinating world of fabrics, fibers, dyes and fabric construction of the textile industry. textiles for apparel, interior furnishings, and industrial applications are investigated. Students are introdocued to testing methods, labeling laws, trends, applications, and color forecasting. Students who successfully complete this should be prepared to take an End of Pathway Assessment( EOPA) to be able to earn an industry-recognized credentia.
