January is National Radon Action Month. The month is to let people know about radon, promote radon testing and fix the high levels.
The best time to test is in the winter months when all of the doors and windows are closed.

Radon never really goes away, but you can lower the levels by:
• Use a mitigation( pipe) that sends the gas into the air instead of your house.
• Put a mitigation( pipe) system on a‘ new’ house when it’ s built.
• Test and mitigate all schools.
• Make it a law requiring testing and mitigation.
