Memorable Fervor
“MOVING ON” IS ENTERTAINING AND MEMORABLE, A RECORD CERTAINLY
WORTH TAKING A PEAK AT BY PUNK AND ROCK ENTHUSIASTS ALIKE.
The Valveenus is downright spunky. The band from Ottawa, Canada has a certain groove to
them that is fun and edgy, the kind of energy that really shines and right through the length
of their EP “Moving On.”
Characterized by quirky drum sequences and fast and folky guitar riffs, as well tracks that are
quick and clock in at no longer than three minutes, “Moving On” is entertaining and memorable, a
record certainly worth taking a peak at by punk and rock enthusiasts alike.
Many listeners will appreciate the short and straight-forward flamboyancy of track one’s “Misery.”
Perhaps the most memorable of the four tracks, “Misery” is a great hook into the EP that features a
stylish acoustic guitar intro, and is a can’t-miss track of the record. This energy feeds perfectly into
the skate-punkier number “Cold Hard Truth,” a fast-paced and fun track that keeps the heart racing
and has a very happy and summery feel to it. These first two tracks make up what is a very jumpy
and joyous first half of the album, clocking in at a modest four minutes and fifty seconds in total.
