Right up front I want to keep this as real as possible , as honest as possible . Script is something I am clueless about , but I think we are long overdue in talking to an artist about it . Obviously you must do boatloads of script to go by the name Scriptinator . What lead you so deep into mainly script ? I guess I ’ ve always been into lettering since i was a kid . Back then it was graffiti , but i got arrested tagging at like 12 years old so it put an end to my career real fast ( laughs ) Then years later when i started tattooing I fell in love with it again and when i actually started getting good at it , that was mostly what everybody started getting done from me so I just kept at it .
Judging from the way your lines flow , it looks to me like you would be able to do some killer tattoos . Am I wrong about that , and if I ’ m right , why don ’ t I see anything other than script in your portfolio ? I still like doing other stuff like BnG occasionally but i just like to do what I ’ m best at . I think nowadays when everybody and their mother tattoos it ’ s important for each artist to have something to specialize in that sets them apart from everybody else . I ’ d rather do dope lettering pieces all day then mediocre color work ( laughs )
