You’ve been lucky enough to do music with a side order of modeling. Let’s start with the modeling and go from there. You started modeling when you were 16, how did that come about? I was going to school in the lower east side of Manhattan and I was unexpectedly scouted on the street by Adidas and I got cast for a shoot. What other campaigns have you done? Tommy Hilfiger’s new jeans campaign, a Versace campaign in Mexico City, a short film for Miu Miu etc. And music? I actually was doing music first. Music was my main thing. I never had any aspirations of becoming a model but music was always there for me because I have two older brothers and they had a music group and I wanted to be a part of that and they told me in order to be a part of that I had to be able to freestyle the things that were going around us for two minutes before they would even consider me for the group. It took me a while to be able to do something like that and when I was ready they had stopped doing music and I just kept going. Do you have one particular style or a mix of styles? I would say it’s a mix of styles because when I first started want- ing to do rap music and had no thoughts of doing anything else but when I went to Europe, I went to Sweden and the producer who is one of my close friends, makes pop music, so we did a pop song and it came out pretty good actually and we’re going to shoot a video for that mid 2019. He’s going to come to New York and we shot a lot in Sweden too. He has a band who does 51
