I experi- mented with a lot of dif- ferent styles of tattoo- ing early on bouncing around from one thing to the next, the illustra- tive blackwork stuff is the only thing that really stuck. I think it was al- ways intrinsic for me to head in this direction as it’s pretty similar to the style of thing I’d doodle on my exercise books in school, soldiers with Minotaur skulls holding bouquets of wilting lil- ies for damsels in dis- tress crying centipedes into bowls of spaghetti bolognese. All the hal- lucinogenic garbage my brain could muster up. Another funny thing that just came to me, I’m sure many people used to do this, I relent- lessly drew all over my 21
