What I did with Jon Bon Jovi was very pop because I think
he was trying to make me more marketable but I’m a rock
singer and always had a “rock...personality” that goes with
it and it’s hard to soften it up and I’ve tried everything else
and it’s my heart and soul and I’ve been broken enough that
I’m a rock singer. I think you have to be through some shit,
and everybody else in the band has had their share too to
be honest and the music has gotten us through it but to be
a rock band you can do the moves and play the part but un-
less you have that bone in your gut you’re not gonna pull
that off.
