time, but I spent hours
just staring at the im-
mensely dynamic draw-
ings, I was especially
attracted to the fight
scenes as I just couldn’t
wrap my head around
how you could make a
few lines on paper come
alive like this. After this
period I got into look-
ing at character design-
ers like Aaron Blaise
and other early Disney
influences. I remember
the first time I saw the
work of Electric Pick and
Jesse Smith in a maga-
zine years ago, my mind
was blown. I had never
seen this type of stylised
drawings executed on
skin in this way, it changed my life.
Later on as I started tattooing I discovered the works of the great
Filip Leu, Vlady, James Tex, Steve Moore, Aaron Cain, Victor Chil,
Jamie Ris etc which still inspires my work a lot today. Even though
I’ve moved a bit away from the new school feel the last few years,
I still feel like new school and Japanese has the movement of any
tattoo styles. And that is a thing I greatly admire.
The question of the week is if you could pick one person dead or
alive, who would it be and why?
