So I did, I turned
off my illustrative
mind for about 6
months to dive
deep into realism
and practice. And
it has done won-
ders for me. As I
came back after
6 months and
started drawing
again, my whole
style and con-
cept of what my
illustrative should
look like had changed. I had a way better understanding of the ba-
sics again as it felt like I went through a second apprenticeship. And
I am to this day still hungrier than ever to learn new things and ex-
pand my knowledge of different styles.
What and who inspired your work?
My earliest memories of admiring an artist must have been Akira
Toriyama and his dragon ball manga books. I was very young when
I got my first book, but it was in English and I couldn’t read it at the
