Halo , why did you open Black Lotus Tattoo Gallery ? The goal of the shop was to make a place that is dedicated to nurturing just art I worked at different tattoo studios all over Maryland and it was kind of a tattoo factory you know 10-15 sometimes a day and then just got ridiculous so when I open this studio it was one or two a day and that ’ s it . It ’ s pretty much all the guys here work everyone is doing their absolute best on every single tattoo that they do ; Not try to pump out a whole bunch of them , not trying to make all kinds of money but to put out the best artwork that we possibly can and to inspire each other . At our old location it was like you kind of walk in , check in , and then you kind of sit down and wait . I feel like with the new studio it ’ s more catered to the clients comfort and actually looking at art work and kind of seeing what things are available . The waiting room is a lot bigger we have Xboxes that our clients can feel free to play on all the TVs are smart TVs so instead of sitting in silence you you know you can watch TV you can hang out , you can put a movie on if you wanted to ; but also there ’ s jewelry displays in cases you know you can ’ t feel like you can get up and walk around and actually see artwork before you get on your body
