There are a couple of artists in New York who fly solo..Anil Gupta, Vincent Castiglia etc When I said I’m antisocial it just means when you own your place with a partner or have employees, it benefits you financially if you’re lucky, but it’s an extra level of headaches to your life because it’s not just another person you have to accommodate, it’s also their clients as well, and simple things like one likes to listen to rock n roll on and folk on the other side so one side of the shop is always pissed (laughs). Compromise. it’s hard to decide who should sacrifice on basic things (laughs) And conventions? Conventions are necessary bad things for me. For example, I’m not a big fan of loading everything, and traveling, lost luggage, transportation, different languages. It’s horrible. Especially in China where you can’t even order food unless you see the pictures (laughs) But they’re friendly. It’s necessary for social media to keep your name out there. You’re reaching more people and they recognise your name and “LIKE” your Facebook page and Instagram and other bullshit blah blah blah (laughs) Do you watch InkMasters? No. I stay away because I don’t agree with the whole idea of the series. It’s not as good as we think it is because now clients come in and they have seen Inkmasters and I have to design your tattoo in five minutes and do a whole sleeve in 2 hours and I’m like I don’t know what drugs you are on or what tv you have 25
