What type of paint and techniques did you use? For most of the paint jobs I do I end up using a mixture of Etac and Wicked Paints from Createx. These are all water based paint so they are really safe to use in the house and don’t have a lot of those crazy fumes that would probably kill my dog. As far as techniques go I really don’t use a lot of freehand stencils at all. Most of what I do is done with a paintbrush and then refined with an airbrush or vice versa. I might start with an airbrush detail with a paintbrush. A lot of Airbrush artists do not mix paint brush and Airbrush but I find it to be one of the best ways to actually paint with an airbrush since the greatest bad quality in Airbrush is its ability to make smooth blends and not get fine lines while it is the exact opposite for a paintbrush. How do you decide on the theme for the cars? It depends. For example the Batmobile was something that I’ve always wanted to have when I was a kid and as soon as the new Camaro bodies came out I was instantly like I’m going to buy that and paint that. But then there are times where for example my Star Wars truck I actually let my clients pick by making a poll between Avengers and Star Wars. I honestly did not care at all what anyone picked I just wanted to paint something cool on the truck. I really kind of like letting my followers decide what I do because I feel like it’s a chance to get everyone involved. Roughly how long does each vehicle take and how often do you work on it until it is complete? On average to do an entire car it takes me anywhere between 200 and 250 129
